Tasty food, fast service and reasonable prices make this underground Japanese restaurant a great spot!
I’ve enjoyed the food at the well-known ramen shops like Ippudo and Totto but the high prices and the long wait for a table, causes me avoid them. So when my foodie friend introduced me to this spot, I was so happy!
Located in a large basement with lots of tables, there was no wait even at the height of lunchtime.
The ramen was delicious and a larger portion than Ippudo and Totto, for only $10. Half a soft-boiled egg is included, whereas Ippudo and Totto charge extra. The pork was thick, tender and juicy which is far superior to the thin dry pieces that some other places offer. The soup base was tasty and didn’t make me thirsty like Totto’s.
The hot tempura udon was a smaller portion than the ramen but it was only $9. The sashimi don was $11 for 6 large pieces of fresh fish, rice and miso soup. The fried chicken appetizer was tasty and served on a salad of shredded cabbage. Sushi rolls are priced at $6.
Their dinner menu has more variety than their lunch menu, with tons of small plate options (tapas-style). They have an extensive drinks menu and are open late, making it a great place for a night out.
TIP: Doesn’t accept reservations.
