BANANA BREAD

Nothing beats fresh bread, with a crunchy top and soft sweet center. Add walnuts or pecans for extra flavor and texture.


INGREDIENTS:

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • ⅓ cup butter
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1.5 cups flour
  • oil or cooking spray

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Stir in melted butter.
  4. Mix in baking soda and salt.
  5. Stir in sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
  6. Mix in flour.
  7. Grease loaf pan with oil or cooking spray.
  8. Pour batter into loaf pan and bake for 40-45 minutes.
