
My favorite American comfort food deconstructed. Crescent rolls are superior to soggy pie crusts for soaking up the sauce.
INGREDIENTS:
- 4 chicken thighs
- 4 carrots
- 3 potatoes
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1 shallot
- 1 bay leaf
- ¼ teaspoon oregano
- salt & white pepper
- ½ cup white wine
- 1½ cup chicken broth
- ¼ cup heavy cream
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Cut carrots and potatoes into 1 inch pieces.
- Pan fry the chicken until juices run clear (2-3 mins each side). Season with salt and pepper. Set aside.
- Cook diced garlic and shallots in olive oil until fragrant.
- Add wine to deglaze the pan.
- Add the chicken and juices to the pan.
- Simmer covered on low heat for 45 mins.
- Turn off heat. Add heavy cream and gently stir in.
